Vault: a collector's assets with insurance cover and current valuations.

Overview

I am building a vault, passport and private market for valuable objects on a Rust core, with a Digital Passport designed to be verifiable on Ethereum.

Problem statement

The history of a painting, a watch or a collectible usually lives in drawers and email threads. Buyers, insurers and lenders have no cheap way to check it, and owners have no safe way to share only what each party needs.

Solution

I built Tangbls as three layers that reinforce each other: a fast, safe Rust base; a Digital Passport designed to link a physical item to a point-in-time cryptographic proof; and a secure vault with granular sharing and access controls.

Vault.

I built a private record of objects, evidence, valuations and insurance, with sharing scoped per object and permissioned separately. Revoking access ends it, and the audit trail remains.

Digital Passport.

I designed a process to review, canonicalise, hash and sign evidence, then batch it into a Merkle tree whose root is designed to be anchored on Ethereum.

Quiet Market and Gallery.

I built a private market where listings reach only the collectors they match, and a back-office workspace for galleries covering inventory, collectors and sales.

Tia.

I built an AI voice assistant that manages a user's vault and assets by conversation, within the permissions the vault already enforces.

Platform and security.

I built the API layer, audit trail, vault timeouts and step-up authentication as Rust services, with Kafka-based event handling, Helm deployments and observability through Prometheus and Grafana.

Outcome

The company site is live and development continues. I have built and deployed the publisher and indexer services for anchoring; they go live when a devnet contract and node are in place.
